Referred by Dominic Yuk, Manager-in-Charge of Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Fashion Textiles), Catherine conducted a QFD talk for the Department of Fashion & Image Design, Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) on 8th April 2011. The audiences were the 2nd-year and 3rd-year full-time students of various higher diploma courses of the department, including Fashion Design & Development, Fashion Design & Product Development, Fashion Design, and, Fashion Merchandising. The former part of the seminar was a brief lecture while the latter part was a group activity on practicing how to intrepret the voice of the customer. After the talk, Catherine was invited to visit the library and the teaching facilities as well as some award-winning design exhibitions of the students.
