Guest Lecture on QFD for Postgraduate Students of SEEM, CityU

In the evening of 28th October 2013, Catherine was invited to conduct a guest lecture on QFD at City University of Hong Kong. The lecture was for the students doing "Managing Quality Strategies", a module of MSc Engineering Management, Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. To cope with the theme of the module, Catherine used the part of quality planning of QFD to explain how it could be used to formulate business strategies, using satisfying customers' needs as the goal. The attendees showed much interest with the methodology. After the lecture, several of them stayed behind to ask Catherine to explain the operation in greater detail.

Guest Lecture on QFD for Undergraduate Students of SEEM, CityU

Dr. K. S. Chin, Assistant Head and Associate Professor, Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management of City University of Hong Kong, invited Catherine to give a guest lecture on QFD for the module of "Quality Improvement Methodologies" in the evening of 25th February 2013. The attendees were the final-year students of the undergraduate programme of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Total Quality Engineering whilst the guest lecture was served as a supplementary class activity. Catherine talked about the construction of a quality table and how quality table to be used for facilitating the operation of QFD. The students had greatly impressed her. She found the students were very attentive in the class and enthusiastic with learning. Many constructive questions had been raised for discussion. After the lecture, the students told Catherine that they had acquired a much greater understanding with QFD and their interest with QFD had increased.
