2016 is the 50th anniversary of QFD. On 7th March 2016, in her guest lecture for the module of Quality Improvement Methodologies delivered to the final-year students of the undergraduate programme of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Total Quality Engineering of City University of Hong Kong, Catherine chose to talk about the latest development and industrial application of QFD. She stressed that a major reason why QFDhas still been widely researched and applied nowadays is because of its generic nature and versatility. The lecture provided the students with an overview of QFD and the development from the time it was introduced in the mid-1960s up to the present.
