Catherine first met Martha Lai, colleague of Phyllis Au, at the QFD Seminar for IVE Kwai Chung. She met Martha again at the Hong Kong QFD Symposium 2012. After the symposium, Martha invited Catherine to conduct a QFD seminar for the students of the Higher Diploma in Business Administration at Shatin Campus. The seminar was held in the afternoon of 14th February 2012. The students highly impressed Catherine. They attentively listened to her on explaining the meaning of customer satisfaction in regard to product/service development as well as the ways for collecting, processing and deploying the voice of the customer into customers' needs; and, they actively participated in doing the group activity and gave nice presentation of what they did.

Seminar on "Quality Function Deployment for Product/Service Development"

Invited by Phyllis Au of Business Administration Department of IVE, Catherine conducted a QFD seminar for the students of Higher Diploma in Business Administration at Kwai Chung Campus in the afternoon of 27th April 2011. At the seminar, Catherine emphasized the importance of listening to the voice of the customer in developing products and services for satisfying the customers' needs. Although the students had come across the concepts of customers' needs and customer satisfaction in some of their subjects, many of them found the talk interesting as they now know how the concepts could be practiced in the business field.
More than a hundred of students came to the seminar. To make the seminar fun, Catherine did a group activity with the students on collecting the voice of the customer after she finished the lecture part.
